This chick has managed to effortlessly combine fierce combat, with sass, humor and vulnerability to invoke a love revolution. Tahlee is banishing body hatred and teaching us how to cultivate the power to build a world wide tribe of women and men who have revolutionised their lives through the first step of self love. Meet Tahlee…

Tell us about your journey, what sparked your passion for the health and wellness industry?

Hi! I’m Tahlee. I’m the Major Instigator of The Attitude Revolution and a Fighter Pilot of Love.

My passion for wellness began as a personal journey as I struggled with self loathing, body hatred, yo-yo dieting, anxiety and depression.

Over many years I learned how connected these all were and I began to heal long standing issues around my health and my body image.

Now I help empathetic women and men cultivate real power (instead of willpower) so they can do a 180 towards a body and life they love.

I compose meditones music (which contains a sonic hack that enhances meditation); offer a bespoke, personalised meditation music service called an Affirmation Amplifier; and write a kick-ass body image blog.

What’s your number one wellness tip?

“Whoa there tiger! Gentle.”

Everywhere I turn, I meet people who are the kindest, most loving, sensitive, caring people that you’ll ever meet. Yet they’re so freaking hard on themselves! Hypercritical; always on the go; feeling like they’re never good enough; and holding themselves to an impossibly high standard.

And I recognise them because I too am a recovering perfectionist.

But when you return to gentleness towards yourself – everything changes.

You eat healthier, you have more energy, people comment on how radiant you look, you’re more relaxed, and you have the confidence to pursue those callings that you’ve been stuffing down for years.

What’s your one non-negotiable when it comes to your health?

Meditation.

It fixes everything. I use my own meditones music either at night just before I fall asleep or first thing in the morning. I love this process so much, because it’s so effortless.

I used to struggle to ‘switch my mind off’, but meditones are a sonic process that does it for you. I simply put on my headphones and deep relaxation just arrives.

Any time I skip meditation, I notice it immediately. Something feels ‘off’ and I have less resilience during the day. Then when I meditate, it’s like coming home.

What motto do you live by?

Unconditional love – for yourself and others.

It’s nothing groundbreakingly original, and it’s super tough to practice, but boy is it worth it!

What is your proudest achievement?

Writing my own meditones music.

I’ve got a degree in music and was actively pursuing a career in it. I’d been making meditones music with a business partner until I creatively burnt out a few years ago. I gave up music for 4 long years. I missed it, I thought a lot about it and I wanted to write music – but I just felt stuck. To be honest, I never thought I’d write music again.

And then, just 6 months ago, I felt that familiar pull. I felt really called to make meditation music for some of my clients.

They all agreed and then voila! The music all came back to me – so easily, so effortlessly, so goddamn ecstatically.

You know when you see an old friend that you haven’t seen for years but the conversation is never awkward?

It was like that.

Magic.

What are your goals for the future?

My big dream is to build a world wide tribe of women and men who have revolutionised their lives through the first step of self love; who are getting on with the life they are called to lead and making a positive impact on the world around them, all because they had the courage to say “I love you” to their reflection.

I want to listen intently to my tribe so I can be of service to them – and to live a life of creativity, purpose, and joy.

Tell us something not many people know about you?

I have the loudest laugh known to mankind. When you hear it, you’ll know.

Can you share with us one of your favourite recipes?

A favourite? Oh that’s a hard one. There’s so much good food in the world, and I’m so fickle.

If I had to narrow it down I’d say – almond butter on medjool dates.

Yep – that’s it. Super simple, but oh soooo tasty.

The sticky-tacky caramel flavour of the dates covered in oozie-goozie goodness from the almond butter? Perfect.

Recipe:

Cut medjool date in half and remove seed.

Dig almond butter out of the jar and smear into date hole. (Hmmm, that seems rude, doesn’t it? Well, it’s not. Get your mind out of the gutter).
