I truly believe there is a good version of everything and a bad version of everything. It may take a little time searching for the perfect recipe and experimenting in the kitchen but it is possible to transform all of your favourite treats into health foods. This is my version of strawberry milk.
1 cup cashew milk (you can find my recipe for nut milk here – you can use any milk really)
1.5 cups strawberries (doesn’t really matter how many strawberries you have, it all depends on how strong you like the strawberry flavour. I would definitely recommend buying some small organic strawberries because they are super sweet and have the best taste. Although the strawberries you buy in the supermarket look really bright red and delicious, more often than not they don’t taste the best.)
Put the cashew milk and strawberries in a blender and process until really smooth. You might like to add some sweetener. A teaspoon of honey, maple syrup or a couple of dates would work well. Pour into a glass and enjoy.
Let us know if you make any other fruit milkshakes. Banana (add cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla powder), blueberry, mango (come on summer!) and raspberry would be awesome.
