My Self-Love Philosophy

Emily Jane

I wrote about my food philosophy here. I believe what we do to our body is just as important as what we put inside our body. So I spoke about the importance of self-love here. You can drink 10 green smoothies a day but if you’re constantly stressed or hating yourself, you will never be healthy. So today I’m sharing my self-love philosophy with you because it’s just as important (if not more important!) to do the inner work.

Schedule me time – I will make time for myself and treat myself.

Start a natural beauty routine – If I can’t eat it, I don’t put it on my body. My skin is my largest organ and it absorbs 60-80% of what I put on it.

Be myself – everybody else is already taken.

Be authentic – if I am constantly pleasing everyone, I am not being authentic. I will be true to myself.

Prioritise self care – I cannot give to others until I have given to myself.

Love, respect and accept myself – I will treat myself like I would my best friend.

Invest in myself – the best investment I can make is in myself, abundance comes when I invest in myself.

Do what I love – I have a choice and I choose to do what I love.

Forgive – it will set me free and release me from the past.

Love with all of my heart – I have an abundance of love to give.

Laugh always – I will have fun today.

Stop comparing myself to others – instead I will use them as inspiration.

Love myself – when I love myself and my actions come from a place of self love, my life flows effortlessly.

Surround myself with those that support, love and inspire me – I will ditch negativity and people that bring me down.

Relax in a hot Epsom salt or magnesium flake bath every second day – magnesium is an excellent muscle relaxant for my body.

Drink herbal tea – I will take the time to prepare and enjoy warm herbal tea.

What do you do to take care of yourself?
