Product Description
The dietary analysis is a complete nutritionally calculated analysis of your usual food intake. We correspond via email to complete the analysis. You are provided with a detailed report that includes all nutrients. Along with suggestions for improvement.
First I require your age, weight, height, gender and physical activity level in order to calculate your estimated energy requirement. This provides the amount of kilojoules you should be consuming each day.
Next, I require you to complete a 3 day food diary. This diary should represent your usual food intake. It may be beneficial to recall your diet over the previous 3 days to ensure no bias. In this regard, sometimes I find that clients can alter their diet (subconsciously, not necessarily intentionally) because they are aware that they must record everything and are anxious about the subsequent analysis.
The kilojoules of the 3 day food diary are analysed against your estimated energy requirement to determine whether you are meeting your requirements. If you are not, suggestions will be made to improve.
Lastly, the 3 day food diary is extensively analysed and all macro and micro nutrients are calculated. The macronutrients include carbohydrates, fats and protein. Micronutrients include iron, zinc, calcium, magnesium, selenium, vitamin A, B vitamins, folate, vitamin C, iodine, potassium, etc. I can advise whether you are meeting the requirements for essential micronutrients needed for good health. If you are not, suggestions will be made to improve.
I utilise the AUSNUT2013 food database (which is the most recent Australian food database) in order to complete my analysis.
