Tell us about your journey, what sparked your passion for the health and wellness industry?
My passion for nutrition and health stems from cooking with my parents and grandparents when I was growing up, there’s nothing better than providing the people you love with nutritious and delicious food from the soul.
What’s your number one wellness tip?
Don’t be too hard on yourself! And don’t compare yourself to others. We are all individual and have different food and exercise preferences and requirements – don’t hate yourself because you had an extra biscuit and skipped yoga.
What’s your one non-negotiable when it comes to your health?
A good night’s sleep! Sets you up entirely for the day ahead and lets your body repair and rest.
What motto do you live by?
You can have your cake and eat it too. Just in moderation
What is your proudest achievement?
Getting into post-graduate study and completing my first half-marathon last year seeing as I wasn’t very good at running at all beforehand!
What are your goals for the future?
To keep cooking and sharing healthy, and delicious recipes as well as to complete my honours thesis and masters degree.

I’m an Italian citizen! This is why I love pasta!
Can you share with us one of your favourite recipes?
1 1/4 cup butter milk
1 cup of spelt flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 cup fine rapadura or coconut sugar
Whisk egg, and buttermilk together in a mixing bowl. Add in the rest of the ingredients and whisk/mix until combined. In a non-stick pan on medium heat, pour equal portions of batter into pan and cook for a couple of minutes until little bubbles appear on top of the pancakes. Gently flip the pancakes and cook for another 2 minutes. Repeat until the batter is finished and enjoy with any/all toppings! I love mine with blueberries and a little maple syrup.
