Tell us about your journey, what sparked your passion for the health and wellness industry?
My passion for health and wellness has developed over time. Mostly, it was born out of frustration because I couldn’t get to the bottom of a few niggling health issues. I became my own health detective and for the past three years have been putting the puzzle pieces together, step by step.
What’s your number one wellness tip?
Build your life around your healthy lifestyle, rather than trying to do it the other way around. For example, it’s much easier to make yoga a regular part of your routine and show up regularly at the same time each week, than to try to squeeze in a class here and there if you have the time, because as we all know, when done this way, it often doesn’t happen! It’s also much easier to eat well regularly, if you dedicate the time to plan your meals, buy the right ingredients and prepare as much as you can in advance!
What’s your one non-negotiable when it comes to your health?
I always make sleep my biggest priority. Sleep is so important to help our bodies rest and repair. I’m in bed by 9:30pm, I don’t ever do all-nighters or late nights for work and have a relaxing evening routine to help prepare myself for a lovely night of peaceful rest.
What motto do you live by?
It’s more of a quote than a motto, but it’s on the bottom of my email signature:
“As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.”
– Marianne Williamson
This quote is all about inspiring others to be the best version of yourself, and leading by example which is how I’d love to live my life.
What is your proudest achievement?
Creating my wellness eCourse ‘Something Beautiful’ just recently. It’s been a blast guiding my community of women through six weeks of holistic wellness and sharing their joy as they learn and adopt new behaviours that support their wellbeing!
What are your goals for the future?
My future is all about living a relaxed lifestyle filled with yoga, laughing, friends and family, healthy food and creative, fun and inspiring work! Ideally, I will be writing answers to questions like these from a villa in Bali!
Tell us something not many people know about you?
I’m afraid of heights – majorly!
Where can we find you?
