Where I Eat on the Sunshine Coast

the shak organics

We are so blessed on the Sunshine Coast to have an array of beautiful cafes to enjoy. Here are some of my faves:

Ground Organics – located at Mooloolaba and probably one of the most popular organic cafes on the Sunshine Coast. Absolutely divine. Ground started off offering only raw food but their menu now includes cooked options too. I interviewed the co-founder of Ground, the lovely Monique Pollard here!

The Shak Organics – located at Buderim (in the same shop where Ground first started!) and like Ground, The Shak are organic and are planning to evolve into a wine bar by night!

Greenhouse Café – Greehouse is the newest edition on the Coast. These guys are located at Caloundra and are 100% organic and vegetarian.

Get Fresh – this little café is attached to the Get Fresh health food and fresh produce store. It’s located in Cotton Tree and prides itself on it’s fresh local produce available for sale in store and showcased next door in the café.

Café Envy – these guys are located at both Moololaba and Cotton Tree. They offer a range of gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian options and pride themselves on serving real food.

New Earth Café – organic raw food is served up at New Earth Café at Coolum Beach. Pizza and raw desserts are their speciality. They’ve also just started live music Sunday sessions.

Velo Project – such a great place for brunch. Velo is located in the back streets of Mooloolaba, so it’s a hidden gem away from the tourists.

It’s Rawsome Cafe – this place is one of the original raw food cafes on the coast. They are located at Rosemount and their cakes and raw desserts are the best.

Husk and Honey – Husk and Honey is 100% grain and gluten free and located in Nambour. They also offer, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian options. Their lunch menu changes constantly.

Goodness Gracious Organics – located in Yandina, these guys pride themselves on growing their own organic vegetables, fruit and herbs in the café garden. They are 100% gluten free with sugar free, lactose free and vegan options.

Organic Bliss – this café serves up lots of baked goods and hearty warming options. It’s a great place for lunch and is located in Maleny.

Raw Energy – there are 5 Raw Energy Cafes on the coast – Mooloolaba, Cotton Tree, Peregian, Coolum and Noosaville. They pride themselves on serving fresh and ethical food.

The Fig Tree – this restaurant is located in Eumundi. They offer a range of vegetarian options. Make sure you check out the Eumundi markets while you’re there.

Kunara Organic Café – most of the menu is gluten free and organic, with plenty of raw and vegan options too. The juice bar is awesome and the menu changes daily. Kunara is located at Forest Glen and also offers a heath food store, butcher, garden store and boutique.

Can you add to this list?

  1. Kimnat Little Market in Woombye is my favorite: menu vegetarian/vegan… although, there are chicken options. Fair trade coffee: I like the chilli-mocha on coconut milk option. Savoury muffins or raw superfood desert slice with Co-Yo and more… Great food! info@kimnat.com.au

  2. Elixiba is another awesome new healthy restaurant/bar that has popped up recently on Ocean st. Does GF, vegan, etc. AMAZING food!!! The cocktails are pretty shnazzie too. Some great healthy twists
