Emily Skye is an absolute superstar. She has overcome depression and is now one of the most healthy, strong (mentally and physically), confident and truly happiest people I know. Meet Emily…
Tell us about your journey, what sparked your passion for the health and wellness industry?
Becoming healthy, fit and positive has changed my life a great deal and I have never felt better, been more confident or been happier and I want everyone to feel this way! That’s why I decided to pursue a career in health and fitness and continue to learn as much as I can so I can pass it onto other people. There is so much incorrect information out there and an obsession with being unhealthily skinny that I just want to inform women of the right way to get in shape and that your health is far more important than being “skinny”.
What’s your number one wellness tip?
Find what works for you and what you can maintain and make it a lifestyle.
What’s your one non-negotiable when it comes to your health?
Never sacrifice your health and wellness in order to “look” a certain way.
What motto do you live by?
Aim to be fit, strong and healthy, but above all aim to be your best!
What is your proudest achievement?
Overcoming depression and becoming healthy, fit and happy! Nothing beats a complete lifestyle overhaul. Without your health and happiness you have nothing I believe.
What are your goals for the future?
To be able to reach more people and help them to become their best and happiest.
Tell us something not many people know about you?
I played the violin from age 4-16.
Can you share with us one of your favourite recipes?
One of my easiest and tastiest go to meals is:
Mustard and Fresh Lemon Salmon
200g fillet of salmon
Bunch of asparagus chopped
1 teaspoon coconut oil
1 grated raw zucchini
1 teaspoon english mustard
Cook salmon and asparagus in coconut oil in a pan over medium to high heat. Once cooked, spread the top of the salmon with english mustard and squeeze lemon juice over the top. Serve with raw zucchini.
