Do me a massive favour and make your own coconut milk rather than buying the heat treated tinned variety. Home-made coconut milk is so much more flavoursome and only takes a few minutes to make. The delicious taste is definitely worth your time.
1 brown coconut
2 cups waters (hot water makes it easier to blend, however, you can use room temperature water if you don’t want your milk heated)
Place the coconut water and meat with 2 cups of water into your blender. Blend until smooth. Strain through a sieve, chux cloth or cheese cloth. This recipe yields about 2 cups of milk. You can store coconut milk in a jar in the fridge for a couple of days. What do you use your coconut milk for? Smoothies, curries or desserts?
