Tell us about your journey, what sparked your passion for the health and wellness industry?

My mum did. She was the one to educate me on the amazing benefits of coconut oil and living a healthy lifestyle. I grew to be more passionate about coconut oil every day and felt I needed to educate people on the benefits and uses. That’s why I started Coconut Health and Healing.

What’s your number one wellness tip?

Be kind to your body and your body will love you for it.

What’s your one non-negotiable when it comes to your health?

I have 2 non-negotiables. Exercising regularly and eating as healthy as possible.

What motto do you live by?

Live your dream.

What is your proudest achievement?

Motherhood. It’s the hardest job in the world but is also the most rewarding job in the world.

What are your goals for the future?

1. Becoming a health advisor and blog coach

2. Completing my 3rd eBook by the end of 2014

3. Owning a house by the water

4. Sending my children to private schools

5. Living the dream

Tell us something not many people know about you?

I enjoy up to 2 coffees a day. Hehe. I know that’s naughty but I love it so much and enjoy it!

Can you share with us one of your favourite recipes?

Raw Cacao and Almond Balls

bliss balls

2-3 heaped tablespoons raw cacao

1.5 cups pitted dates

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

3 tablespoons coconut oil (slightly melted if it is hard)

1 teaspoon of organic maple syrup

Throw all ingredients into a food processor or blender EXCEPT the coconut oil and shredded coconut. Blend well then pour ingredients into a large bowl. Add the coconut oil and mix well. Put the desiccated coconut onto a separate plate. Roll the mixture into medium size balls and roll in coconut. Place balls into a container and keep in fridge or freezer. Eat and enjoy!
